In 2022, G Shafer Architecture worked on the restoration and renovation of the historic Heights Theater in Houston, Texas. The theater, originally built in 1929, had been closed for several years due to disrepair and neglect. The project included restoring the building's original art deco architectural elements and modernizing the theater's infrastructure to create a state-of-the-art performance venue. The project team also included elements of sustainability into the design, such as the use of energy-efficient lighting fixtures and eco-friendly building materials.
